The overall energy consumption of a compressed air system is determined not only by the performance of individual equipment, but also by how efficiently the entire system operates under actual working conditions. Issues such as unloaded running losses, pressure drops in the piping network, air consumption by drying equipment, delayed control responses, and unrecovered waste heat often exist simultaneously, resulting in system efficiency that falls far below the rated performance of the equipment.

As an advocate and principal drafting organization of the Compressed Air Station Energy-Saving Design Guide (T/CGMA 033001-2018), Ingersoll Rand played a key role in developing the standard. Leveraging its expertise in standards development and extensive technical experience, Ingersoll Rand has helped more than 100 customers successfully establish Grade 1 Energy Efficiency Air Stations across major industrial sectors, including automotive, lithium battery, steel, food and beverage, and electronics manufacturing. Through its standards-based approach and proven implementation experience, Ingersoll Rand continues to support customers in reducing energy consumption, lowering operating costs, improving productivity, and advancing sustainable, low-carbon development.

Service Scope

Ingersoll Rand provides full lifecycle support, from assessment and certification to ongoing operation and maintenance.

- Before Certification
Ingersoll Rand conducts a comprehensive energy efficiency assessment of the customer's site. Based on production processes, actual energy consumption data, and compressed air demand characteristics, the team performs a compliance review against applicable national standards, identifies performance gaps, and develops a complete upgrade solution covering equipment selection, system configuration, piping network optimization, centralized control systems, and metering instrumentation deployment.

- During Certification
Ingersoll Rand's industrial technology team is responsible for implementing the system upgrade and works closely with the Shanghai Institute of Quality Inspection and Technical Research to complete on-site energy efficiency testing. The team also assists with the certification application process through the Compressor Branch of the China General Machinery Industry Association, supporting the project through certificate issuance and site recognition.

-After Certification
Through the CARE service agreement, Ingersoll Rand provides preventive maintenance and genuine spare parts support throughout the equipment lifecycle. Leveraging the Helix™ Connected Platform and Ecoplant digital solutions, the company delivers 24/7 online monitoring and continuous energy optimization, helping ensure the system consistently maintains Grade 1 Energy Efficiency performance over the long term.
